The WCA Executive Investment Summit now in its 4th year, has become one of the flagship events organised by Club, with an excellent reputation as a major Africa Investment Summit for C-Level Executives, bringing together Africa’s leading investors (incl. family offices, HNW investors, venture capital, private equity, SWF, pension), industry leaders, Ministers, and award-winning entrepreneurs.

Based on delegate feedback, Summit is viewed as dynamic, high impact, and differentiated with a track record for delivering tangible results with investments and strategic partnerships closed post-Summit. Since 2013 on average, Summit has attracted 300+ delegates from 32 countries globally (60% delegates from outside host country), with C-Level Executives representing 75% (88% in 2016), and financial and strategic investors 80%. Summit in 2016, also included Africa’s 1st Africa Family Office Forum which was hugely successful, with segment continuing in 2017.

The Summit is also a great opportunity for WCA Members and other Wharton/Penn Alumni executives across Africa and globally (investing in Africa), to convene at least once a year for some serious deal-making. The Summit has also increased Wharton brand awareness within the wider WCA Summit Network and Summit host countries in Africa, incl. marketing, and WCA’s engagement with local government and universities. Most recently, the Ethiopia Ministers and Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance & Economic Development, recognised and thanked WCA for its efforts, and the success of the 2016 WCA Executive Investment Summit.
