The Wharton Club of Africa
The Wharton Club of Africa (WCA) incorporated in September 2013 in Mauritius (non-profit GBC2 organisation), is recognised by The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), as the official Wharton Alumni Association (both the Regional Club for Africa and an Affinity Club) for all Wharton Alumni (across Africa and globally) with a Mission to support the Africa business interests, education (incl. supporting the school in its Africa recruiting activities), and social activities of its Members, as well as, to promote the Wharton Brand in Africa. In 2015, WCA incorporated its fully-owned subsidary in Delaware, USA to facilitate its US banking operations for its e-commerce, in addition to its Mauritius bank. WCA has amongst the largest Wharton Alumni Club networks outside the USA, with an elected Board of Directors, Club Officers, as well as, Africa Country Directors, Sector Chairs, and Executive Advisory Board. Membership consists of all Wharton Degrees (MBA, PhD, Executive MBA AMP, Undergraduate), Wharton Faculty, Wharton Fellows (12 Fellows Program), Wharton/Lauder MBA students, and alumni with Graduate Degrees of the University of Pennsylvania..
